Works Perfectly!!, March 4, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Amika Ceramic Hair Straightener (Purple) (Misc.) I absolutely love this flat iron!!!! I bought a similar one back in Vegas for $125 back in 2008 and it lasted me almost 3 years! I just had to buy a new one, and for the price of $73 it was a steal! It doesn't pull my hair at all and makes beautiful curls!! Works great and gets hot enough to straighten my curly/wavy thick hair. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a great quality straightener!

I bought my Amika from a kiosk in the mall nearly 2 years ago for $80, and at the time thought it was ridiculously high priced, but I love this flat iron! I recently left my iron at an out-of-town friends house during an overnight stay, and I've had to use my old Remington to straighten my hair. The results are nothing like what I get with the Amika. It's not labeled for it, but I have also used this as a wet-to-dry, and it works just fine. The only reason I want a new one is because I've grown tired of the boring purple.

It worked as well as the $20 irons you can get from target. It isn't horrible, just not worth the money; it was thick and bulky relatively low heat... Nice colour and design though
